Located in Midriff Avenue Mall in the residential area of Mirdiff, Dubai, KLEÏ Spa & Hammam is an upscale spa for ladies designed by VSHD Design Dubai. The design of the spa was inspired by the ethos of natural materials, particularly the use of clay. A natural material derived from the earth, clay has been incorporated as a key component in the spa’s design, décor and inspiration. Since the early conception stages of design, VSHD decided to base the spa’s design on the idea of playing with a piece of clay in your hands. In whatever the shape comes, whether it is curvy, anamorphous or organic, the design of this upscale spa is about continuously shaping the space. The curvaceous lines and forms that undulate through the spa’s hammam and massage rooms, entrance, corridors, changing and relaxing rooms, all involve the material of clay and change in their lines and forms and the way in which they occupy each space.

The goal for the overall vibe of the space is one that is organic and exudes a sense of peace, serenity and wholeness. The space is divided several spaces, an entrance area with a retail space and cozy waiting area; a long corridor that connects all the rooms and which has been designed to prepare clients for the tranquility and peace waiting for them in their designated treatment area; several treatment rooms, including two hammams; a changing area and a relaxing space. The spa, which incorporates other natural materials, including bamboo, glass, and wooden straw for the carpet on the ceiling and the floor, is a place where clients go not only for rest, relaxation and beautifying treatments, but also to feel grounded, calm, safe and secure amid the going chaos of daily life and the outside world.
